How a test runs

Set up the test
Pick the project and type a test ID. Increments are 50 mm or 100 mm, and the location is saved when the test starts.

Drive the rod
Put your phone in your pocket. Every blow is counted and the count is read aloud. Knock twice on your phone to record the increment, three times to pause. Overdrill and Sink are one tap each.

Export the report
Correct any increment, then export a PDF report and a CSV before you leave site. The report has depth and CBR plots, a location plan and the full data table.

Questions
Does it work with site noise?
It listens for the short, sharp sound of the hammer hitting the anvil. Generators, traffic and talking don't sound like that, so they aren't counted. If a blow is missed or counted twice, correct it with −1 or +1.
Where is my data kept?
On your phone. Sound is processed on your phone as it's heard and is never recorded or uploaded. Exporting needs an account, but your tests aren't sent to it.
Why not use a spreadsheet?
You can. Groundtruth is for when you're on the hammer and nobody is there to write the numbers down.
Can the CBR replace a lab test?
No. CBR is estimated from blow counts with a published correlation (Austroads, TRL or USACE), and every report says so. Treat it as a field indication, not a substitute for laboratory CBR testing or engineering judgement.
